Our Braising Mix is a blend of green and red leaf beets with silver and gold leaf chards. Eat as baby salad or grow for cooking greens; this tasty, tender mix is delicious either way.
I live in Albion, along the CA coast north of San Francisco. I grow kale and chard all winter, and this year I am trying a couple of varieties of fava beans which should mature in the spring.
Looks like a nice mix of greens in "Renee's Braising Mix". I am getting my beds cleaned up for some fall salad plantings, and some swiss nussli, and one entire bed for garlic. Nope, it's not summer anymore!
I garden just south of Seattle, WA and west of SeaTac airport. The fall and winter garden has beets, kale, carrots, broccoli, cauliflower, sugar snap peas, chard and turnips. This is my first year growing year around!
We'll also be planting our garlic for 2013 and we're experimenting with planting snow peas and sugar snap peas now for spring harvest.
Looks delicious! I'm loving Renee's Rainbow Swiss Chard right now... while all my tomatoes, peppers and beans have been consumed these plants keep giving and giving! Thanks from Montreal!
It's fall here in Florida. I am planting tomatoes, peas (snow and sugar snap), carrots, lettuce, spinach, kale, cilantro, parsley, chives, broccoli, and cauliflower.
I'm ripping out my summer garden, with lot's of Renee's in Grass Valley, Ca, getting ready to amend the soil and plant a winter garden full of Renee's! Love Renee's Seeds!
Congratulations to Maggie from Albion,CA, Tamara from Florida and Joanne from San Antonio, TX; you have each won a packet of Renee's Braising mix! Please email customerservice@reneesgarden.com with your address so we can send you your seeds!

ReplyDeleteNW Indiana and Cabbage.
ReplyDeleteI like to plant my leafy greens in pots on the deck here in San Antonio. However, the rabbits beat me to them sometimes!
ReplyDeleteI have been enjoying the Bright Lights mix of Swiss Chard. The flavor is mild and is great in salads and sandwiches. Love the range of colors.
